Feeling ill after eating crap?

‘Tis the season of holiday parties and festive outings. Often, when we’re in the merry-making spirit, (especially if we’re a lil sauced up 🙂 ), we find ourselves taking down ‘festive’ aka unhealthy nibbles and sugary drinks, that we’re not used to having on the daily. Next thing you know, you’re feeling sick to your stomach, putting a damper on your holiday cheer. Believe me, I’ve been there! Given my history and how clean I eat, when I eat something that’s subpar quality, just too rich, too sugary, has to much gluten or whatever else, my body responds almost immediately and I feel awful.

I now have an arsenal of tried and true, natural remedies, to help me feel better when I get to this place, so I’ve got you covered!

Natural Remedies:

Baking Soda

Putting 1-2 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda in water creates a neutralizing effect on stomach acid, easing stomach pain. Guys, it’s always in your kitchen and works like a charm!

Digestzyme-V

This 5 star rated and doctor recommended product is the best! It helps with breaking down food, digestion, bloating, all of it. You can either pop 2 preventively 20 minutes prior to your meal, or take after and it will work it’s magic.

Benezyme

These plant based enzymes assist the breakdown, absorption and use of food in the body, allowing us to get the most benefit out of our food. Take 1-2 capsules with each meal. If it’s after the fact, still take it. It helps tremendously.

Activated Charcoal

This natural substance absorbs toxins from the body. It binds the source (chemicals found in processed foods, pesticides on fruits and veggies, bacteria and acids that cause digestion) in your stomach and intestines, removing them and reducing the symptoms.

Peppermint, ginger and marshmallow root

All 3 of these herbs are used to treat an upset stomach. This calm stomach tea is comprised of all 3 of these and works like magic on an upset stomach. It’s peach flavored and tastes delish too!

Liquid spirulina

This particular base of spirulina, a superfood, containing naturally active enzymes, chlorophyll,, essential fatty acids, beta-carotene, b complex, 18 amino acids, and much more, is literally the ONLY thing that got me through my morning sickness during all 3 of my pregnancies! It’s literally my go to whenever I feel awful and the best part is you also feel a natural energy boost from it and it tastes so good!

Digestive Bitters

Take this bad boy before you eat to be proactive about it, if you can. They support your digestive process, encourage enzyme production and prevent heartburn. They also curb sugar cravings and support healthy skin and hair! Was this helpful to you? Do you guys have any other natural remedies for an upset stomach that I don’t know of!
